Originally conceived as a life box, Morphogenesis is a mixed-use building located in an area that was formerly a pre-1990 warehouse and is now under development to be transformed into a residential area.
The territory’s restrictions made it challenging to host a high number of new apartments in such a small space while at the same time upgrading the standards of city living with high-quality common areas.
The project was designed with the following ideas in mind: a volume that speaks for itself; a box that supports life in all of its corners; a shell that forms an inner courtyard; and a leisure space that is easily perceptible on a human scale.
The first floors host diverse socio-cultural functions that serve not only the neighborhood but the city of Tirana too.
