Ndërpro Hotel

Besides fostering residential premises, the concept of this project also aims to reactivate the surrounding urban area, giving life back to the public spaces. Situated in a busy part of the city, the building needs to find its personal dialogue with the context, especially with the existing building standing right next to it.

In order to form the final volume, four cubes of various sizes and angles were intersected, resulting in a dynamic, distinctive structure that conveys a sense of rhythm. The building’s shape suggests both the flow of natural forms and the jagged edges of the rock.

The intersection’s slanted angles allow for a street-level open space that serves as a common public area for both the new and old building residences.
