It takes a village to raise a child.

Located on the outskirts of the city of Tirana, this new kindergarten presents an innovative approach to educational buildings. The project, which is surrounded by greenery, was created to encourage kids’ everyday interactions with nature.

The space arrangement and layout use the circle as a compositional element, which references children’s love of round toys and games in circles. A central atrium connects all the units and serves as the nucleus. That way, a dynamic space is created, offering the children a unique relationship with nature thanks to direct access to the outside world from every classroom.
